Ski-Doo Snowmobile Covers

Made from heavy-duty materials, snowmobile covers protect snow machines from the elements, including rain, sun, dirt, or dust. For long periods of storage during off-seasons, or when traveling down the road in the back country, your snow machine may require a wrap to protect its finish. Having the right cover can go a long way to prevent damage to your snowmobile while it is being stored.

How do you measure your snowmobile for a correct fit?

Before purchasing a snowmobile wrap, you may need to take some measurements to ensure that the wrap will fit your snowmobile. A snow machine wraps size is determined by the length of the snowmobile, in inches, from the front bumper to the rear bumper. You should also consider the height of the snowmobiles windshield and the width of its hood. Going under or over the recommended size may allow the wrap to come loose during travel. Always check the manufacturers recommendations for correct sizing.

What are the wrap measurements for each model?

The Ski-Doo E-TEC snowmobiles vary in size and shape, so some models may require specific wraps. For some model lines, such as the Renegade, MXZ, Tundra, Summit SP, and Skandic E-TEC, engines offer raised windshield heights, which may require a taller cover in order to clear the raised part. Wider foot running boards on some Renegade, MXZ, Summit SP, X-RS, and Skandic E-TEC engine models may also require a wider cover. Cover measurements in inches for length, width, and height on the Ski-Doo Summit SP or other E-TEC models include:

  • Renegade X-RS, Renegade Sport, Renegade Backcountry, and Renegade E-TEC engine models: 127 L x 47.9 W x 47.6 H.
  • MXZ Sport, MXZ X, MXZ TNT, MXZ X-RS, MXZ Blizzard, and MXZ E-TEC engine models: 118.5 L x 47.9 W x 47.6 H.
  • Summit SP, Summit Sport, Summit Burton, Summit X, and Summit E-TEC engine models: 127-154 L x 44.3 W x 54.3 H.
  • Tundra Xtreme, Tundra LT, and Tundra Sport models: 131.6 L x 39.4 W x 52.2 H.
  • Skandic WT and SWT models: 127.5 L x 42.4 W x 52.3 H.

How do you put a cover on your Ski-Doo sled?

Some wraps come with a strap that can be attached to multiple parts of a snow machine, such as the track, foot rail, and bumper rails. The straps are intended to keep wind or other elements from removing the cover from the vehicle during storage or travel. If the wrap is not made for traveling, you may need to supply your own straps around the vehicle to secure the cover. Heres how to put a sled wrap on your snow machine:

  • Identify the front end of the wrap and position it on top of the vehicle.
  • Slide the wrap from the front end to the back end of the snow machine, pulling the cover over the summit so it is snug.
  • Attach the straps or drawstrings to the snowmobile, as recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Pull any straps or drawstrings tight enough so the wrap does not come off during storage or travel.
