Sebago Shoes for Men

Wearing shoes in a classic style could help give the wearer a sense of style. Sebago makes shoes, such as casual slip-on loafers and docksides, professional oxfords and boots, and more, for a variety of occasions.

How do you determine the right size of Sebago shoes?
  • Trace the shape of your foot on a piece of white paper while standing upright. Measure yourself in your socks to get the most accurate fit.
  • Measure from the top of your longest toe to just beneath your heel to get your length.
  • Measure across your foot at its widest point, which is usually the ball of your foot. This is your width.
  • Use a size conversion chart to find out your shoe size.
  • If you fall between two sizes, choose the larger one. While some footwear will stretch with use, it is easier to add inserts to decrease the size than it is to stretch your shoes.
How do you clean your Sebago shoes?

Almost all footwear from Sebago is made from natural materials. Clean your shoes regularly to prevent wear and tear.

Cleaning leather Sebagos:
  • Remove the laces from your boots, boat shoes, or docksides. The laces will be cleaned separately.
  • Apply saddle soap. Use a soft cloth to rub the soap in a circular motion.
  • Remove the soap with a clean cloth. If necessary, dry the surface with a towel.
  • Apply a leather conditioner, let it sit for about 15 minutes, and then wipe it off with a clean cloth.
  • Allow your shoes to air dry, but keep them away from heat and sunlight.
Cleaning suede and nubuck Sebagos:
  • Use a stiff brush to remove excess dirt. In many cases, this is all the cleaning necessary.
  • For stains, use a spray cleaner specifically designed for suede and nubuck. Spray them slightly and wipe it off immediately.
  • Brush your suede boat shoes in the direction of the nap.
  • Use a rubber pencil eraser to remove small scuff marks.
Cleaning Sebago shoelaces:
  • Remove the laces from your oxfords, boots, boat shoes, or docksides before cleaning them.
  • Wipe the dirt off of with a clean toothbrush.
  • Apply a solution of saddle soap and warm water, gently massaging the soap into the material. Do not soak the laces; this can discolor them.
  • Wipe them off with a damp cloth.
  • Lay the laces flat on a towel or old newspaper to dry completely.
  • Lightly apply a natural oil, like olive or coconut, to make your laces soft and supple. Wipe off the excess oil, and allow them to dry for several hours before putting them back in.
