What types of Pelonis home heaters are there?- Radiator heaters use convection to transfer heat to the room. They do not have fans.

- Fan heaters are used to focus heat to a localized area. They are typically portable and use a fan to circulate the heat.

Pelonis home heaters use electricity to generate warmth. Some models use electricity to warm the oil that radiates warmth into the room where they're being used. Others use resistance coils inside the heaters and fans that blow the heated air into the room.
The forced-air portable types use fans to distribute the heat while the radiator-style unit lets warmth move naturally from one place to another. The models that use fans to distribute warmed air have control settings from low to high speed. The control must be set to “fan on” before the unit will work. The fans will run even when the heat function is off.
What are safety features included with Pelonis heaters?All Pelonis products are UL (Underwriters Laboratories) listed, which means that they meet the UL’s basic standards for safety. The heaters are manufactured with safety switches that turn them off when they tip or are accidentally knocked over.

What is the difference between radiator-style oil and space heaters?An oil-filled radiator heater will warm the room and the objects in it. They take a little bit of time to warm up, but radiant styles also retain warmth longer, including for a time after turning it off.
The radiant-style appliance is especially effective when you need long-term heating. Objects in the room will absorb the heat gradually and retain it for longer periods. A Pelonis fan heater will heat up a smaller space, which is useful for warming enclosed spaces like bathrooms and small bedrooms.
