Motorcycle Lighting and Indicators for Honda CRF250R

The Honda CRF250R is a popular sport motorized bike that was first produced by Honda in 2012 for the 2013 model year. It features a counter-balancer suspension, six-speed transmission, and four-stroke engine. Routine wear and tear may necessitate replacement of the light bulbs and indicators.

What are the features of the motorcycle lighting indicators?

Motorcycle lighting and indicators for the Honda CRF250R offer the following features:

  • Integration of high and low beams: The head lights of the CRF250R allow you to select high or low beams. The assembly accommodates both functions, allowing you to select the brightness level based on the weather and traffic conditions.
  • Light emitting diode bulbs and conversion kits: Light emitting diodes for the CRF250R have a bright glow but drain little power from the battery that is connected to the CRF250R's engine. Conversion kits can be used to replace incandescent and xenon halogen light assemblies for turn, brake, head, and taillights.
  • Water, shock, rust, and corrosion resistant: The indicator lights for this model of Honda are resistant to water intrusion, which protects them from rust and moisture damage. The Honda assemblies also resist shock from vibrations. The tight seal protects the metal fittings from corrosion caused by splashes of road salt or automotive fluids, as well.
How do you choose lights and indicators for the CRF250R?
  • Select the placement on the Honda CRF250R: Choose lights that go on the sides of your bike or on its hand grips or handle bars. There are also head lights for the front and brake and taillights for the rear of the Honda CRF250R. The rear lights fit just above the exhaust.
  • Choose the type of bulb: Select a model of bulb that uses incandescent, xenon halogen, or light emitting diode technology. Older Honda CRF250R motorcycles that do not have fitments for light emitting diode bulbs may be compatible with a conversion kit assembly.
  • Select a replacement part or an entire light assembly: Choose just a bulb for your indicator lights or an entire light assembly with housing and wiring for the CRF250R.
How do you replace a bulb in your Honda CRF250R?

When a bulb goes out in one of your Honda's turn signals or in its brake lights, headlights, or taillights, a prompt replacement of it keeps your Honda CRF250R road-worthy. To do a bulb replacement on the Honda CRF250R, you will need a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the lens that covers the light assembly. Set the lens and fasteners aside. If the lens is dirty, this is a good time to wash it with biodegradable detergent and a microfiber cloth. Most bulbs are held into place with metal or plastic clips. Putting pressure on the outside of the clips releases the bulb. Pick up the replacement bulb with a tissue, taking care not to touch it with your fingertips. Touching the bulb could transfer oils from your hand that interfere with its operation. Push the clips open and place bulb into the holder. Place the lens over the assembly and refasten the screws.
