This version of the Varsity Maize colorway appeared on April 24, 2010, on the Air Jordan Fusion 8 silhouette. A white upper features perforated holes for added breathability. White overlays stretch across the tongue to further strengthen the shoe's construction. These overlays transition to black on the padded ankle, eyelets, and heel. Black continues on the midsole as well as on the tri-colored black, Varsity Maize, and grey design with a white background. Yellow Maize returns on the tongue strap clasp as well as on the black midsole's stitching. A white outer sole underlines the sneaker, providing various textured tread patterns to provide traction and grip. A chenille border around the tongue's Jordan Jumpman logo incorporates black, grey, and Yellow Maize once again.
