Jaguar XJ8 Car and Truck Interior Switches and Controls

Manufactured in England between July of 1997 through December of 2002, the Jaguar XJ8 brought a sporty feel to the companys elite line of luxury sedans. Designed with a sleek leather instrument panel with assorted interior switches and controls, the XJ8 also boasted a powerful V-8 engine comparable in performance to most any other car or truck on the road. It may be necessary to replace your Jaguar XJ8 car and truck interior switches and power controls as they begin to wear out.

• The first step is to find the small screw cover located inside the inside door handle of the Jaguar XJ8. Remove this cover and the underlying screw. The back side of the wooden veneer should pop off. Slide this backward to separate it from the housing of the door handle.
• Find the armrest and remove the screws located underneath it. Once this is done, the panel should be easy to remove.

In order to replace this bulb, you will need to remove the panel. This process is quick and easy. On the back side of the panel, near the windshield, press with your fingers and then pull down firmly. The panel should become dislodged, allowing access to the bulbs for replacement. The panel can then be pushed back into place with gentle pressure. There are two plastic clips that hold the panel in place.

• CAN, or Controller Area Network serves as the high-speed communication source for the Jaguar powertrain.
• SCP, or Standard Corporate Protocol, works for communication of the Jaguar body systems which are slower than CAN
• D2B, or optical network that serves for very high-speed transfer of audio data in real time.
