Cadillac CTS sedans offer great handling and luxury features. Their engines, which are either V6s or V8s, are powerful, fast, and responsive. If you're looking for a Cadillac CTS engine for sale, then check out the huge selection of new and used ones on eBay.

These are the different types of Cadillac CTS engines you can purchase:

• Standard gasoline - CTS engines are gasoline-powered. Although a diesel version was in the works a while back, it never materialized.
• Turbo - You can find turbocharged and twin-turbocharged gasoline-powered Cadillac CTS engines. The turbocharged choice gives you 272 horsepower and 295 foot-pounds of torque, while the twin-turbocharged version gets 420 horsepower and 430 foot-pounds of torque. There is also a supercharged engine that produces 640 horsepower and 630 foot-pounds of torque.

• 2.0-2.8 L - The 2.6-liter engine produces 180 horsepower and 177 foot-pounds of torque, whereas the 2.8 L has an output of 210 horsepower and between 182 and 194 foot-pounds of torque. There is a 2.0-liter turbocharged option as well.
• 3.0-3.6 L - Most of the CTS engines in this range are 3.6-liter motors. In the second generation of CTS sedans, Cadillac rolled out two 3.0-liter engines (the LF1 and the LFW) but didn't continue them into the third generation. If you find a 3.6 Cadillac engine for sale, it'll have between 255 and 263 horsepower and either 252 or 253 foot-pounds of torque.
• 5.7-6.2 L - The engines in this range are the powerful V8s and come standard with the CTS-Vs, high-performance versions of the CTS. One of them, the 6.2-liter LT4, is supercharged.

Here are a couple of factors to consider when deciding on an engine:

• Mileage - The first CTS engines were produced in 2002, so many of the ones for sale have relatively low mileage. However, you need to view mileage in the context of prior vehicle maintenance. High mileage with excellent maintenance is nothing to be afraid of.
• Condition - You can buy new, refurbished, and used low-cost Cadillac CTS engines on eBay. The used ones vary in condition, with many being in the good-to-excellent range. Some of the engines are disassembled but complete, and others are being sold for parts.
